Context Help
As you are aware we have put a huge investment of both time and money into our help systems over the past six months. Over the past month we have moved to the next stage with our help system and made it "Context Sensitive" this means depending on what program you are in at the bottom of the page the system will give you relevant topics of interest. Of course you can still access these topics from help buttons on the main menus.
Hire Items
We now have a new "class" of product code in our stock master to deal with Hired Items.
This allows you to invoice out goods on hire and have the system manage who has these items.
- It can report where all your hired items are and what Serial number of item they have.
- You can charge or loan for free an item.
- The system can automatically email the customer when the goods are overdue.
This can be used for loaning out Trailers, specialist equipment, product samples etc.
Note: At present this is only available under eAccounts invoicing and not in ePos
More Margin Grids
For those larger customers of ours that rely heavily on Margin Grids for stock pricing control will now find that we have now increased the number of Margin grids from 40 to 999. We have however put some limitations on them.
Margin Grids 51 thru 999 can only be set at the Stock Group level and not against each individual stock item. This is not a major drawback as those demanding the increase in Margin Grids (about 10 of you) want to set the Margin Grids by Stock Group anyway.
Email Copy Invoice
Often when arguing over unpaid accounts or trying reconcile unpaid bills you are requested to send copies to multiple email addresses at once. eAccounts now allows you to send upto 5 Invoices to upto 3 different email addresses in one hit. You will see this new option under Customer Enquiry.
Search Stock – Using two words
The Description Search facility under "Stock Maintenance" and "Stock Enquiry" has been greatly enhanced.
- If you type in "HEAD BOLT" and press the FIND button it will display all stock products beginning with Head Bolt.
- If you type in "HEAD BOLT~MAZDA" and press the FIND button it will display all stock products beginning with Head Bolt, with the word Mazda in the description.
- If you type in "WANAKA" and press the FIND(Incl) button it will display all products with Wanaka in the description.
- If you type in "WANAKA~600" and press the FIND(Incl) button it will display all Wanaka Wines in a 600ml bottle irrespective of where the word Wanaka or 600 are in the Stock Description.
Job Costing
For those of you who use our Job Costing system will have probably already notice that there is a considerable amount of change going on in the way we deal with Jobs.
The system now:
- Supports both Jobs and Subjobs that link multiple subjobs to a Master job for reporting purposes.
- Allows a Quote to be converted into a Job Budget.
- Reporting of the Job by Subjob, Job, Product code and or at the Stock Group level.
Customer Group By Area Report
There is a new report in the Debtors System called "Customer Group By Area Report" this new report allows you analyse all your customers for each Customer Group by their respect Customer Areas.
Carrige Return On loading product on Order
For those that are raising customer orders using our "Salesperson Raise Order" system will note that we have modified the system so that you can load a stock code and then hit the Carrige Return without first using the Tab key (or mouse) to highlight the "GO" button. This saves time and will remove a little confusion to customers in your online shopping baskets (for those that use them).
Bank Data Deletes Overnight
If you load a Bank Statement electronically to our General Ledger system for our automatic "Bank Reconciliation" eAccounts will now delete these files each midnight. We have set this new rule for your security and to protect your privacy. This should not affect too many people because 99% of customers reconcile their bank data the day they load it.
Renaming Areas & Groups
Under Debtor Utilities there is now the option to rename a Customer Area or Customer Group. When you use this feature all customer data relating to either of these changes as well as the Group and/or Area files.
