Help System
With many months on the help system we are please to say we have made big in roads into making our help system useful. We are generating new help topics daily across all modules and have now added a search facility ie enter the word “CRM” and you will directed to 4 topics on the subject.
New Source Report
We have a new Source report, this is useful for businesses who are doing lots of cash sales and need to report on where these sales come from ie Newpapaer Advert, TV Advert, Friend recommendation etc
You can run the report in summarised form, or broken down by Salesperson.
Maintain Customer Sources is found in the Debtors Maintenance system
The new Source report is found un the Order processing Reports menu.
If you don't have the ability to select source on the Invoice completion screen and would like it to be available please contact your eAccounts Representative to have this turned on.
Offsetting Debtor Invoice With Creditor Payment
eAccounts now allows you to nominate a debtor in the Creditor master. Then when you go to pay that creditor you can elect to offset that Creditors Invoice (or invoices) against that debtors invoices. This is very useful where you have contractors who work for your business but they also purchase from you and swapping cheques doesn't seem to work.
Foreign Bank Accounts In The General Ledger
eAccounts now supports foreign Bank accounts in the General Ledger. What this means is that you can have “Off Shore” accounts stored in your GL and have the system automatically convert the daily into the local currency with any exchange rate fluctuations being automatically journaled to an Exchange Rate Gain or Loss account.
You can even run an entire GL branch in another currency (ie USD) and have it merged with your other branches into a GL Company in your local currency !
Cash Basis GST Returns
eAccounts now supports “Cash Basis” GST returns (as opposed to the Normal Accrual method). We strongly recommend against using this feature as there are too many “What If's” (Too many opportunity's for error) in the method. However some clients have insisted that they need to report their GST using this method so we eAccounts has been modified to support it.
Cost of Sales
Most clients make a transaction at the end of each month to Debtor and Creditor opening and closing stock in their General Ledger, to obtain the true value of "Cost Of Sales" in the Profit and Loss statement. eAccounts can now calculate this automatically each night. This means your Profit and Loss is accurate in respect to Gross Profit on a daily basis and the "Stock On Hand" in the stock system is aligned with the General Ledger account for the same daily.

Paperless Office
Because of our reliability - many businesses, including ourselves, are going paperless in respect to batch reports. There is little need to keep hard copy of any batch reports or print any stock reports, given that everything is online and stored in very substantial history systems.
If you would like to have automatic batch reports turned off please contact your eAccounts Representative. You can individually select what you want turned off - i.e. GL, Stock or combinations.
New Menu - Better Browser compatibility
You may have noticed some slight changes in the "look and feel" of the menu system. This has been part of the process of making eAccounts compatible with browsers running the Gecko rendering engine (Mozilla Firefox specifically).
eAccounts is proud to announce that it is compatible with all major browsers on all major operating systems.
Few accounting systems can be seamlessly run on Windows , Linux and Apple Mac at the same time.
